Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I’m Amie. I came to PAWS as a transfer from another shelter and I was so afraid of everything! I wouldn’t get off my bed and was afraid to be petted. My human pals at PAWS knew I had been found wandering as a stray but didn’t know anything more about me. Once I came out of my shell my pals were astounded to discover I know tricks (sit, shake, jump, spin) and am a dream to walk on a leash! And for a bit of string cheese, I give kisses!
I’m what they call a “Blue” behaviorally: Bashful…shy…introverted…timid…and coy! I may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but your patience will be richly rewarded once I’m familiar with you! I love pets and cuddles from my friends. When I’m really trying to show you how I feel, I nuzzle up against you and make little noises – I’m a bit of a talker!
I’m a small package, 14 pounds, but I can walk for miles. I don’t react to skateboards, people, other dogs, cats – when I’m out on a walk I take everything in stride! I’m a very young 7 years and am an Eskimo/Chihuahua (aka Eskimo Chi). I get along with other dogs quite well. I’m looking for an adult household where someone is around much of the time.
Thanks for listening. If you are looking for a walking buddy, I’m your girl! I look forward to meeting you.
