My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 5-9-2019 Invisible fence not allowed for this dog.

Posted 5-28-2018 "Chico needs to live in a house with a fenced yard and some room to run. He is fairly high energy and would do best with another dog and high-energy humans. Chico is learning basic skills and is doing much better with loose leash walking. He is also learning to enjoy his adventures in the world and improving his manners when we pass other dogs on walks. He does have a strong prey drive; chipmunks, birds and squirrels will get his attention quickly. I don’t know how he would do with a cat, but I suspect he would be likely to chase one.

Chico’s keen sense of smell makes him super curious and he enjoys being in on the action with his family. He’s a quirky, funny boy who keeps his foster family and furry siblings amused. Chico melts hearts with his slurpy, sloppy kisses and gentle, loving eyes."'

Posted: 4-26-2018. Chico is a 4 ½ month old puppy looking to be part of a loving family. He would do best with another canine in the home. He enjoys playing with the two big dogs who live in his foster home very much! He has also played with smaller dogs, and knows how to be a good sport.

Chico walks best on a leash when he is with his foster friend. He is a bit more timid when he’s walking alone, but he’s a puppy and still discovering how to be brave in a big world.

Chico is also still learning not to leap with joy every time some one from his foster family comes home, but with continued training he will soon manage a gentle greeting regularly. Chico knows that good manners are the quickest way to get a treat and attention. Sometimes his puppy brain forgets, because he is so happy to greet people!

Chico is very treat motivated and easy to train. He has gentle eyes that match his sweet disposition. He can let his nose lead him into trouble, since he can smell treats wherever they may be hidden, but he is also learning that treats come quickly when he has proper manners.

Chico has been crate trained and will crate himself when he is tired. He is quite a snuggly little pup, enjoys a belly scratch, playing with toys, and he will make a great companion to take on adventures!
