My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peanut is a 3 year old, white, super cute, chunky, chihuahua. He has been through some difficult times. His first owners no longer wanted him, and gave him to a disabled man. Unfortunately, although the man loved him like a child, he was often sickly and in and out of the hospital. Peanut was super protective of him and the people that came to feed him when he was alone, brought a taser along. The man passed away with Peanut by his side, still in protection mode. He ended up at the shelter, with time running out for him. We were told he was vicious and no other rescue would take him. We took a chance on him because we could see through the terrified, bullying facade. Peanut proved the naysayers wrong. He has been nothing but loving and affectionate towards his foster mom. He is now nicknamed lovebug. He wants to give sloppy kisses, be a lap dog, and get loved and petted. He is now learning that his only job is to play in the yard, take long naps on the couch, and get snacks.

He's a lover, but Peanut can be reactive when he first meets a new friend, but a little time and he gets along with both. We would like Peanut to have a forever home where he is loved and spoiled. He is such a sweet boy, and so deserves it.
