My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Deeogee is a 6-year-old neutered male yellow mixed breed. . Deeogee weighs 21 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 7 and up.
Adopters must meet these requirements:
Setting: Rural, Suburban
Dwelling: Single Family Home
They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
Fencing: Needs fence either physical or underground.

Deeogee and Maggie are from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from the dog's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and send out an update

Apr 27, 2018: Maggie and his buddy Deeogee, are loving spring! This 6yo bonded pair is full of energy but settles nicely. They love to lay in the sun, go for car rides, are great with kids- approved for 7+, great with every dog they’ve met and ignore my cat. They know several commands, are housebroken and have gentle mouths. They’ve been a joy to have in our home but are excited to meet their new family for summer adventures! Deeogee loves to help with homework and acts as the perfect companion, we joke he’s part fox, part chihuahua and part yellow lab. Maggie and Deeogee are the cutest pups! They know their commands and absolutely love to snuggle!

Apr 7, 2018: Maggie and Deeogee are the cutest pups! They know their commands and absolutely love to snuggle! Come and meet them and fall in love at the AALD!

Mar 24, 2018: Maggie and her buddy Deeogee are such great dogs! They are housebroken, love kids- approved for kids 7+, love other dogs, ignore cats, truly enjoy a good snuggle on your bed or their own, and love car rides! We’ve been fostering this 6yo bonded pair for 2 weeks now, they will make your heart smile and their snuggles will warm your lap. While we know Deeogee isn’t a lab, he’s a sweet boy who loves his people and strives to please- just like a lab just in mini form! They have good recall, though neither walks very well on a leash. They're improving though! They love playing in the yard and laying on the porch in the sunshine. Neither is much for fetch... Deeogee loves a good nap in your arms or on the couch or on a dog bed...pretty much anywhere!

Feb 7, 2018: Note: Deeogee is pronounced "Dee -O-Gee or "DOG" He came with his name!.

Deeogee and Maggie are a bonded pair and have been together since Maggie wandered up to owners house when she was about two. They are both affectionate and like to be petted. Maggie loves to have her belly rubbed. Deeogee thinks he is should be a LapLab, he is the right size but doesn't quite make the cut for being a lab. Maggie is the leader and Deeogee follows everyplace she goes. Maggie likes to retrieve and Deeogee watches. They would like a family that has a fenced yard and will give them the love and exercise they need. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Kids 7 and up, were around grand-kids ages 7 and up about once or twice a week. Good with other dogs Lived with 2 cats. Knows sit, come, sometimes down. They haven't been on lead much so pulls some, good with an Easy Walk harness. Reported as house & crate trained. Keeping their room clean at the kennel.
