My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Diamond. I am a small pit mix and I will steal your heart in a second! I was rescued from a hard life outside but have learned how amazing it is to live inside with people and I love it. I have a lot to offer and I sure hope to find my forever home soon.

I spend my days following my foster family around the house and yard. I'm really just waiting for someone to sit down so I can get in their lap. It's my favorite place! You'll have a shadow even on the cloudiest of days with me because I like to stay close when you are home. I'm good when left alone though, too. My foster mom doesn't even crate me anymore because I'm house trained and not destructive when she's gone.

Some of my favorite things (besides snuggling) are playing fetch and rolling around in the grass. When my goofy side comes out, I will roll over onto my back and wiggle my bottom back and forth so I end up scooching all over the place upside down. Sometimes I get a case of the zoomies and run like crazy in circles in the yard. It makes my foster mom laugh really hard.

I'm pretty smart, too. I learned how to sit and lie down right away. I'm willing to learn tons more especially for treats! I think I'm about 3 years old. I'm spayed and negative for both heartworm and lyme disease. I haven't met any small children yet but I'm great with the medium and big ones. I do need a slow, proper introduction to other dogs but I get along really well with the other dog at my foster home as you can see in my pictures. I haven't met any cats or other animals since being rescued yet so I don't know how I feel about them.

I am incredibly loving and affectionate. I just know I'll make someone an amazing companion and family member...is it with you?
