My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oso is a happy 4 month old mix (we think mix might be lab, whippet ?). This stunning boy has a soft, sleek coat that is a beautiful shiny black. You'll want to pet him all day! And by the way, he would just love that. Oso is a good boy, but also he is an exceptional cuddler; he would much prefer to sit on your lap at all times rather than sitting in his kennel.

True to the “breed mix” of Lab, Oso s a fun-loving, affectionate, active, agile, intelligent and lovable dog . Additionally, labs are known to be good, obedient dogs that learn commands quickly. This combination makes Oso a great companion for the active family.

Because he is energetic, Oso would do well with an active owner who is looking for a running or hiking partner. He does really well with kids, but he can be very excitable before his morning run, so sturdy kids are more appropriate at his age. He really is just a teenager with tons of gumption. Oso is social with other dogs and once the introductions are out of the way, Oso loves to romp around with them.

This boy is curious, sweet, playful, loves to be active but also can have a 2 hour nap after the run…..he loves people, dogs and more importantly life.

Do you have the love to give this sweet boy?

No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS)

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.

NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
