I adopted Bella after my cat passed away. I have never had a dog before because my work schedule is sometimes crazy, but I fell in love with her picture when I saw her posted at a shelter after being picked up by animal control. My hope was that she could be my companion and also spend time with my mother next door during the day when I'm at work. I had no idea about her background since she was found wandering and kept at the shelter, so I brought her home. She is sweet, and smart and loves to play ball, but doesn't get along with cats at all, and my mother has a cat. If she can't spend time with my mom, I don't want her to be alone all the time I work. When I first brought her home, she would go potty in the house (she had been kenneled for a while without regular trips outside). We started crate training and supervising her (keeping her in the same room with me), and she fell into the routine of going outside when she gets taken on a leash or put in the fenced yard.
