Hello! Woof!
My name is Kami. Family changes have forced my family to find a new home for me. I have been with my family since I was 3-months old. I would love to find my forever family - are you it?!
I am a good girl! I am well-mannered. I like to meet new people - I want to be friends with everyone! If I could pick my perfect family, it would be a household with another mellow dog or no dog. Hyper and small dogs make me very nervous. I will chase cats if they run. If they don't, that's not fun for me and I will ignore them.
I need a human or four-legged companion to keep me company during the day. My mommy used to work from home full time and now has gone back to work and I am lonely. I would LOVE to have an older child or teenager to RUN with. I love to play running games! Fetch, not so much.
I have not experienced living with small children, I think I would do better with children that are 8 or older. My youngest human sibling was 8 when I came to my family.
I have had an opportunity to live in a house on acreage with no fence. I was taught my property boundaries and stayed within them. I currently live in a house with a fenced yard. I love to go in and out all day long - if you have a dog door, I would be in HEAVEN!
I sleep inside. Please don't ask me to adjust to an outdoor living situation. My mommy would be heartbroken.
I do my business outside. I used to leak urine when I was sleeping (a common issue for spayed dogs), but I take a supplement everyday now and I am 90% better!
I am gross in the fact that I can hardly resist cleaning out a litter box. Block me from it if you have one.
If you put something that smells amazing in the trash, I will be very tempted to pull it out. My mommy has learned to put all fragrant trash in the outdoor cans just to avoid tempting me. Otherwise, I will leave the trash alone. I don't think I've ever drank from the toilet. Gross!
I am not greedy or aggressive with my food. I accept treats gently. I do not beg for food or stare at you while you eat. If I do, point and tell me to "go" and I will.
I sit, shake, and lay down. Stay, Come and Go.
If you give me a stuffed animal, I will chew and lick it, but won't tear it up. It will be my "baby" and I will play with it and carry it around. I'm not attached to any specific one, so when one gets yucky you can throw it away and get me a new one.
I like people and other dogs. Except - small/hyper dogs make me nervous and I don't want to play with them. If you have a medium size or large dog that I could be friends with - that would be excellent!
I am only a collar and leash dog when I go camping - but I haven't been in years.
I sleep on the floor with a blanket, but if you let me, I'd really LOVE to sleep in bed with you!
I DO NOT like to go for car/truck rides. I get sick to my stomach and throw up every time.
I am an excellent companion dog and will make a great family dog - could I be yours?
