Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jessie is a sweet, friendly, and energetic almost 4 year old dog. I got Jessie in Jan. 2017 from a local shelter. She had been surrendered by her previous owners because they had a baby. When I first brought Jessie home, she was shy and nervous. That lasted maybe a few days and then her true colors came out. She is a love bug! She cuddles with me on the couch, loves a belly rub, and sleeps by my legs at night. One of her favorite activities is to play fetch in the house. She brings me one of her bones, waiting for me to tell her to drop it and for me to throw it for her.
Speaking of bones, Jessie enjoys chewing on bones. She doesn't deal well with tennis balls because she is sooo strong, that she will bite through them. The super-strong black Kong toys are some of her favorite!
Jessie is house broken and used to spending time in a kennel when no one is home. I call her kennel her "bed" and she actually likes laying on her fluffy bed in there. I tell her to "go to bed" and she goes straight away to her kennel.
I am looking for a family who has the time, patience, and energy to put into a hyper dog. A family that can be active with Jessie and give her the stimulus she needs, is very important to me. She can be a handful, like a toddler, at times, but she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. It's all about channeling her fun loving, energetic spirit into time outdoors, walks, fun with other dogs, and play time with her humans.
Jessie's favorite trick is her sit, shake, laid down, show me your belly sequence. She's great at it and loves showing off this skill!
Please let me know if you are at all interested in knowing more about Jessie or meeting her. She is a delight. And I hope a family's life-long companion.
(Also, I am moving and am unable to bring Jessie with me. I hate that I have to rehome her. She is not being rehomed for any issues she has.)
