Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Our longest term resident needs a home for his golden years** Doug was rescued into our center after being surrendered at a kill shelter with his Mother who recently passed. They were due to be euthanized. There is not much known regarding their reason for their initial surrender, but Doug can be a bit anxious when meeting new people. Though, once you've established a level of trust, he is very sweet and loving. Doug will require a patient home, as things as simple as putting on a collar or harness can be overwhelming. A yard would be ideal too. Doug does seem to prefer the company of other dogs over people, but a home where he could share with another dog his size might be just what he needs to help build his confidence. This guy has been with us for many, many years. He lost his dear Mother who he was so bonded with, earlier November 2023. We'd love to see him go home once and for all with endless love and care.
