Daphne's soulful eyes won over the heart of the KGARL volunteer who could not leave her behind at the shelter, and she's been winning over hearts since. Everyone who visits her foster home falls for her initial quiet, gentle curiosity! She is still acclimating to the big world and sometimes a little unsure, but with kind words and gentle enthusiasm she is learning to trust. She loves to snuggle and has mastered the art of the "puppy pile" with the canine friends in her foster home. She also has a goofy playful side, with the awkward, clumsy play antics of a puppy; as a young adult, she seems to be living the "puppyhood" she never had! Of course, this includes learning appropriate chewing habits and how to properly channel her sometimes over enthusiastic energy levels. Her canine friends in the house have to correct her occasional over exuberance, and the children help redirect her when she forgets fingers are not for nibbling. However, she loves the young humans in the house most of all! When not snuggling with the 8 year old, she's found playing with one of the young teens. Daphne's youthful curiously and playfulness has won over even the cranky, dog-selective dog in the house, and the two can be found outside play-bowing and playing chase! When inside, she's most often found curled up with one of her mellow furry friends. She's learned from them inside is for snuggling and cuddling (until the dog food comes out and Daphne dances with joy!) Now that she finally has the taste of the good life, Daphne is ready to learn and explore with a family of her own!
