AVAILABLE IN THE MIDWEST AND NEW ENGLAND… BONDED PAIR - NEMO AND MARLIN!
A few weeks ago we were desperately asking for donations to rescue a pair of dogs that were stuck in a high kill shelter in Alabama. The pair had been in the shelter since November of 2017! After we pulled the dogs, we got to know the sweet boys and their personalities. Nemo and Marlin are thought to be a father and son pair. When we rescued them, Marlin had demodex mange, a very treatable, non-contagious skin condition which will allow ALL of his beautiful fur to grow back! His toe nails were so long that they curled into his skin and his collar was matted in dirt so badly that we could barely tell he even had one on. Both of the boys were heartworm positive…but that’s who they WERE.
Marlin is NOW on the mend and a much happier, healthier dog. His fur is growing in nicely, he has been neutered, and treated for heartworm. He is incredibly sweet and very mild mannered. Marlin seems to be a little camera shy and didn’t show off how social he is, but he is a very nice boy who loves other dogs. He does great with all of the dogs he plays with. Marlin appears to be around 7 years old.
Nemo is also extremely calm and gentle. It’s not very often that we get to say that! Nemo is young, around 2 years old, and has great potential to be a quick learner. He does great with other dogs and would love to be the next member of your family!
Likely lab/collie mixes, Nemo and Marlin both have longer, beautiful fur. As any dog that ends up in a shelter, Nemo and Marlin could always benefit from obedience classes. Nemo and Marlin are both great with other dogs and very mild mannered. They have both kept their kennels clean and haven’t made a single mess. This is a great sign that they have experience with house training! These boys have had a really rough start to life. They are so deserving of a furever family to show them just how wonderful life can be! Because they have spent their lives together, we are searching for the perfect family to adopt them together. You won’t regret taking this pair into your home!
