Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hank is a 7-9 yr old beagle that came from Ventura County Animal Services in Camarillo. Although this is a no-kill shelter the philosophy is save one to make a spot for another. Originally pulled with an adopter in mind that fell through Hank has found himself as a long term foster who is still looking for that perfect forever home.
Pulled in late August Hank has been misunderstood and shuffled around. At first he was to be transported to Meade Canine Rescue and never even made it up there. He was brought back to me after a day and a half when Charlotte felt that a home environment would be better for him than at the sanctuary. He remained with me for another month and a half before we tried him at another foster. That didn't work and in about 5 days he came back again. Another month went by when we found an adopter for him in Washington. Took a few weeks for a transport and off he finally went. After 3 weeks he was just not working out and we scrambled to get him transport back to So Cal. Hank came back on Christmas Day and he's been here since.
In all this time Hank has really transformed and has not exhibited any of the behaviors he was accused of while away from me.
His ideal home is with a confident, dominant owner. Other dogs are ok as long as they are smaller than him and not dominant. Older children ok but young not recommended. Given these circumstances he is very loving and devoted, will follow you anywhere. He LOVES to play fetch and will actually give you the ball back...rare for a beagle.
He's fully vetted and has had a dental. Hank so wants a home to call his very own!
