My story

I am one of four of a beautiful family that all came in together to the Famous Fido Rescue Center! My siblings are Beanie, Boston and Sir George. We had been together for a very long time and we were quite attached to each other but sadly, I am the only one left here at the center. Beanie and Sir George have passed on and Boston was lucky enough to land a forever home!

The boys in my family were a bunch of cuddle bugs, always laying around hamming it up, but I prefer to sit on the highest perch on my tree and snooze or watch all the activity at the rescue. I mostly like to observe the scenery and get to know the humans around me. I am a sweet girl who likes to be petted and baby talked to! I will, however, come up to investigate when someone comes into our room to visit!

Why adoption is a great option

Chloe, a Chicago Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
