My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my profile. My name is Violet and I am a six month old puppy. If you love everything about boxers except their size, or maybe you need a smaller dog, then I am the gal for you! Let me take a few minutes and tell you about myself.

I was surrendered by my family (or at least the people who I thought were my family) to the animal shelter. When asked why they were surrendering me, they wrote “unwanted“ on the form. This made me so sad, because you see all I’ve ever wanted is to be loved and to give love. Even though I’m only six months old I have already learned the difference between being loved and cared for and not being loved and cared for.

All that is in the past now, because HBR came and rescued me from the shelter! I now get to live inside the house (can you believe it?) with a foster family that shows me love and what it feels like to really be in a family. And it seems the more they love me, the less afraid and more loving I’ve become. In fact, I can barely remember the bad times at all now. It’s all love for me now! My foster mom tells me that I’m going to be a great family member for somebody someday because I love to play, I love to give kisses, and I’m really really good with little humans, I think you call them kids.

Even though I’ve only been with my foster family a short time, I have also started to learn how to play with toys, other dogs, and kids. I really love to play! I also now know how to sleep in a kennel and go potty outside. My foster mom tells me I’m really smart, so I think I’ll keep learning very fast! Hey, I know! Maybe you can adopt me and help me keep learning. What do you think? Why don’t you fill out an adoption application and we will see if it would work out.
