Wesley is currently located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so he is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.
Wesley appeared to be a dumped dog that wandered up to a business and decided to stay. He had to leave before the boss found out. Wesley looks like a border collie/Australian Shepherd mix. We think he is around 1 year of age and currently weighs 50 pounds - he is a solid dog, and heavier than he looks. Wesley is quiet, gentle and so very sweet. He will take all the love and petting he can get. He prefers to be in the house and he is house trained and otherwise very well behaved in the house. He does not need to be crated. Wesley is good with cats. I put a foster kitten in his face and he backed away. I put a second kitten in his face and he backed away again. Wesley is good with other dogs, and now loves to play with them. He is still not too found of sharing his food bowl with other dogs - all he does is growl. Wesley has to be walked with a harness as that trying to pull on his collar scares him. He likes to ride and does well in a vehicle. Wesley does need to learn commands with positive reinforcement. He must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and would like a fenced yard.
Wesley is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is negative for heartworms and current on heartworm and flea preventative. Wesley has a $450.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport to Strasburg VA or Hagerstown MD.
