My story

Approx DOB: June 2017

Howdy, I'm Marcus (ID#20026). I'm a very special boy. I spent most of my early life outside as a stray cat. At one point I was part of a trap neuter release program, hence my clipped ear. Fortunately, I was found by Furry Friends Network, and have been enjoying my days since in the comfort of my foster mom's home.

My foster mom says I've come a long way since I arrived. I've learned to play more gently with my foster siblings. I really like grooming, although sometimes I go a little overboard when I'm stressed and get some bald patches. My foster mom does a good job with distracting me with wands. I like playing with wands and laser lights too.

I can be affectionate, and I absolutely love being petted. As for being picked up and held, let's not go there. My feet stay on the floor, thank you very much. At night, I usually follow my foster mom into bed and do my nighttime grooming routine. I also really like sleeping on crocheted blankets. One of my most prominent traits is that I am deaf, but believe me, that doesn't slow me down, and I can be a great comfort during thunderstorms.

I really love my foster home, but am excited to find a home of my own. Think I can be part of your family?

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

Furry Friends Network is a non profit, all-volunteer animal adoption organization. Our philosophy is to help those animals that did not ask to be born, that are often the result of human ignorance. Any animal, no matter its age, can offer love and companionship to the right person. Furry Friends Network is not a shelter, but instead uses a foster home network to house the animals until permanent, indoor homes can be found, offering second chances at lifetimes of love and happiness. Furry Friends Network also works to help humans understand the importance of controlling the pet population through spaying and neutering. Furry Friends Network relies on private and corporate donations to help fund our rescue operations and accomplish our mission - to save lives, one animal at a time. Since the organization's inception in 2001, Furry Friends Network has facilitated the rescue, and rehabilitation and placement of approximately 300 homeless dogs and cats into new homes each year. With your support, we can continue to accomplish this mission. There are many thousands of animal rescue organizations, all working for the same purpose. We hope through our efforts, we will make at least a small difference, and save a few lives in the process. Find out more about us,
