Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Drax is one of the sweetest and most good natured puppies I have ever met! At just a year old he is a puppy through and through, with lots of positive energy to go around. Drax is extremely affectionate and playful. We are working on his enthusiastic jumping up and mouthiness. Because of this and his large size, he would do best in a home with no children. His playfulness could easily be misunderstood by or overwhelm kids.
Drax walks well on a harness lead. He can get excited on walks but is very responsive to verbal cues/tone. He does well when encountering people and dogs on our walks. Drax gets along wonderfully with my two Dobermans. He is submissive and very respectful of my dogs. His personality is very pure and innocent, he thinks everyone wants to be his friend!
He is housebroken and crate trained. He will whine when first crated but settles down after a few minutes. He is not destructive, I trust him out of the crate at night. Once he is properly exercised, Drax is perfectly content to find a quiet spot to lay down and relax. He becomes a very easygoing guy. Despite being a large puppy, I have found him very easy to care for because of his good house manners - no accidents and doesn't get into anything he shouldn't.
Drax would love a home that will lavish attention on him, provide structure and an active lifestyle for him. While he enjoys the company of my female Doberman, he doesn't need a home with other dogs. He has met my resident foster cats and while he wasn't aggressive at all he was too outgoing and easily overwhelmed them so should go to a cat-free home.
For the Marvel fans out there, Drax got his name from being much like his namesake. He is goofy and soft hearted! Drax is very loyal, he will accompany you everywhere. He loves to bury his head in your lap or tunnel through your legs. In addition to having a beautiful personality, Drax is gorgeous! He has natural ears and a docked tail and is a beautiful fawn/rust color.
