Daisy is an Australian Shepherd mix...Blue heeler markings. She is a sweet and very active dog. We first got her as a newborn puppy. Her mother and siblings were abandoned when our neighbors moved.
Daisy was raised in a home with two adults, a child that grew from age 2 to age 6, a teenager another dog, and a cat.
Situations changed, and she was returned to us. She plays well with our two Chihuahua mixes. There was some dominance issues, but this was all settled.
We walk Daisy with our dogs daily, off leash running in the Owyhee foothills. She nearly always returns when called. She is not use to being on a leash and would require some training if this were required of her.
Though she has done well with her little girl, she would do best with older children or adults. She loves to run and would be an excellent running partner. In our case, we walk in wide open spaces and she runs.
She barks when someone is at the door or on the property. We like this for home security.
