Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penny is a 2 yr old Walker Coonhound who wandered out of the woods last June in rural South Carolina. She was malnourished with some neck injuries, so we took her in and got her healthy when her original owner couldn't be found. We've done lots of training and she loves to play!
We go to the dog park everyday and she gets along well with the other dogs. Other dogs love to play and wrestle with her and she gives it back! Once she gets her energy out, she is a couch potato. She likes to swim at the beach and the County Park too.
She's friendly and energetic, but needs an owner that has a little more time than I do. I'm a second grade teacher, which keeps me gone too long for her during the day. Having a yard is a necessity because she's got some energy! We have different games to play to wear her out though. She would do great with a family or someone who is gone less than about 5 hours at a time. She is great with kids.
Penny is on fluoxetine for general anxiety and has been through general obedience training. She is house trained and sleeps in her crate nightly without any concern.
