My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beau (aka Smiley) is a young, full bred Treeing Walker Hound who was abandoned by a previous owner at a very young age, likely because he would not hunt. He was found near a two-lane highway and was in danger every day. He was emaciated and full of parasites. He is a beautiful animal, with all the typical coonhound traits. He loves to stand on his hind legs and look down his nose at you, while smiling: yep, he actually does smile...frequently. Very good nature, he is young and energetic and was found in the same 24 hour period as his sister (see Lady), in the same area, in the same condition, and the same age. She is listed here, as well. They are kennelled together but are not necessarily bonded: they do not sleep together, play together or eat together: they are not co-dependent on each other although they do get along extremely well. Beau and his sister can be seen together in these photos; she is slightly larger than he and he has more black and tan coloring.
