My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady was rescued as a "throwaway" pup near a two lane highway, where she waited for two days for her person to come back and pick her up. She was emaciated, dehydrated, had parasites and was footsore from pavement. She apparently was abandoned because she would not hunt. After advertising for her owner, I had her vetted and brought her home with me. I received a phone call that same day that "she" was still along the highway, waiting for pickup! -- So, I went to look and it was her brother, same age, almost the same markings, same body condition, same problems. Off to the vet we went and then home, where the two recognized each other immediately. They have been kennelled together ever since. Lady is a slightly larger girl, with one partially glass eye (blue) which is genetically caused. She is not blind. She has a typical hound song, where her brother (Beau, aka Smiley) is more of a barker. Both are 98% TRW's, but not hunting dogs. I have posted photos of both of them here together, although they are NOT bonded. They are kennelled together, but do not sleep together, eat together or play together. They do however, tolerate and depend on each other for company. They have been here since puppyhood. They could successfully be separated or kept together.
