My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady comes from the Santa Barbara animal shelter. She is probably about three years old and is in good health. She is a happy, playful girl who wants to be as close to her person as possible. Lady plays well with other dogs both at home and at the dog park, but she tends to want to be the dominant one. This is problematic with an elderly, already dominant female.

Lady doesn't like having her feet handled, and will tell you so with her mouth open. Although I've been working on this, she frightened the person she was supposed to live with, who is quite elderly and less of a pack leader than Lady needs. Although Lady would be most happy being an only dog, she will most likely do well with another dog who is around her age. (She and Otis, who is 2, are quite the hilarious pair!)

She loves to run and will chase a ball or toy for as long as you can throw it -- dropping it at your feet will take some work, though! I will include the Chuck-it that I bought for her.
