The NOT Tiny Timmie/ 5-6 month old American Bulldog Lab mix/ 55 lbs/ Male/ Canadian Owner Surrender
Temperament: happy, people pleaser, gentle, active (omg.....let us just note here - GORGEOUS).
Activity level: medium-high as he is a 5-6 month old puppy but also chill at home and when properly exercised.
Vetting: core vaccines (will need a dhpp booster), neutered, microchipped, dewormed, fecal - negative, 4dx bloodwork negative for heartworm & three tick borne diseases (Ehrlichia; Anaplasma and Lyme); on tick/flea/heartworm prevention.
Housebroken: working on it!
Good with dogs: yes!
Good with cats: yes!
Kid tested: yes! He is a big boy and is still a puppy so can jump up on people and will knock over small kids by accident. Further training to not jump up on people needed.
Separation anxiety: nope!
Crate trained: working on it!
Barking: nope.
Leash manners: doing great! He is a strong muscley boy so can pull at times.
Good on transit: does well in cars - but tries to sit in your lap and lick you like crazzzzzy so a doggie seatbelt is recommended. One transporter noted some anxiety (whining) after his neuter but in all his other car rides was great!

Our Timmie is not tiny like "Tiny Tim", a fictional character from the 1843 novella A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens but he is a LEGEND already amongst all the CCR vets, volunteers and fosters. He is more like Tiny Tim the Miracle Donkey as he is BIG (and has the potential to be just as insta-famous) while he will get much much much bigger potentially the size of a standard Donkey (jk).
As the antithesis of Tiny Tim the Miracle Donkey whose personality is bigger than his small stature...our Timmie has a big puppy body with a quiet, shy and laid back demeanour. He is the biggest suck and LOVES everyone. Even one of our vet techs that assisted in his neuter was found cuddling him on the floor loving him up.
This classic introvert has a lot of energy and requires exercise but his personality is SO LAID back and “cool” the he wins everyone’s hearts with his chill personality.
Now let’s talk about how gorgeous he is.....GORGEOUS....this boy is no donkey that’s for sure (although we LOVE donkey’s don’t get us wrong). This boy though....he is a holy hunk of a gorgeous piece of dog. His colouring - hands down - exquisite and his eyesssss....well DOG help is all.
Timmie is a puppy and he is a big one at that so he will require diligent training and socialization. His foster family is working on getting him potty trained, crate trained and he has been doing very well with his leash etiquette although does tend to pull.
Timmie is definitely a great dog for a family with kids and spent his last 4 months encompassed in kids hanging off of him. He enjoys lots of company and companionship.
