Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Suntan is a precious young, red, medium hair, mix (possibly Turkish Angora, Arabian Mau or Maine coon mix) female with the most beautiful shimmering green and gold eyes. Red females are quite rare. Most reds are male.
Suntan is a sweet girl with incredibly soft, fine fur. She is very polite and loves to be petted and brushed. She even gives her foster mom kisses! Lots of them! Suntan has been through a lot in her short life. Her original rescuers started looking for a home for her in 2017 before sending her to Texas for a chance at a better life.
Suntan wants very much to have her own human to love on, but she's a tiny bit unsure of people at first. Once she knows she is safe, she is happy to love on you and serenade you with purrs!
This gorgeous girl would do well in a slightly quieter home. She gets along well with other cats, but may be easily bullied by more assertive cats. She would probably do well in a home with or without cats if introduced properly.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions
