Meet Walt, a 55lb Australian Cattle Dog. His dad was a red heeler and Mom was a blue. He is a year and a half old. He is neutered. He is house trained and tolerates a crate with lots of treats. He would much rather just sleep on the couch or with you if he could. He loves our cat and doesn’t mess with other Cats that he has met. He loves other dogs and Is gentle with children. He is a huge fan of playing fetch and will stay in the yard as long as he doesn’t see a new friend across the street. He enjoys runs and still needs help walking on a leash. He loves to swim and enjoys learning tricks.
ACD experience or herding breed experience is recommended. He is very intelligent and protective of his family. He has never bitten anyone or anything that we have worried about but he will bark at the door when a newcomer is there. For personal reasons he is looking for a home. We are in the metro Detroit area.
