My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elsy! She came to us all the way from Izmir, Turkey. She and her 2 siblings were looking for crumbs on the side of the road when they were found and taken to a shelter. After being spayed, the shelter released all 3 puppies back to the streets. Fortunately, our rescuers found them and saved all 3! Elsy is an Anatolian Shepherd mix, but not as large. At about 11 months old, Elsy weighs approximately 62 lbs. Elsy is very sweet, calm, loving, affectionate, and smart. She makes great eye contact, is a fast learner, and takes correction easily. She loves toys, and will need a good assortment of appropriate chew toys as she is still very much a puppy. Elsy loves hanging out with and playing with other dogs. She wants to be part of the family. She also loves all people, and is happy cuddling up with her head on your lap and getting love. She would prefer to be by her human’s side, and is what we call a ‘velcro’ dog because she will follow you around everywhere. She loves squeaky toys and she can play with them all day without destroying them. She understands some basic obedience commands such as sit and down, and would benefit by continuing her training with her forever family. Elsy would love to be part of an active family, with kids and other dogs. She needs regular walks, and the opportunity to run and play. A good sized fenced property to allow her space to run around and play would be ideal.
