River is a special needs dog that has many food allergies which we discovered after we adopted him from the San Diego Humane Society in November 2017. He was consistently itching and licking and had recurring bacterial skin infections. He was receiving CADI shots from his vet monthly to prevent the itching, but after doing an allergy cheek swab we finally discovered his allergies and got him on the right food (which runs about $60/mo per bag). He has skin infection flare ups that are cured by a quick trip to the vet to pick up antibiotics. He is an EXTREMELY active puppy that needs 5+ walks a day and would ideally be in a home with kids, dogs, and land. He is very well trained- knows sit, stay, lie down, shake, heel, and walks wall both on and off leash. He comes when called, does not bolt out the front door or run away, and loves all people and dogs. He's curious about cats and other pets but we don't own any others. He needs to RUN and PLAY and have constant ATTENTION!
