My story

We would like to welcome Pumba to FADR! Pumba is a 6 year old, Wild Boar Dachshund, owner surrender. It was a very difficult decision for his mom and dad to surrender him. They have a child that is now 2 years old and Pumba was becoming nervous and getting nippy. He is in foster care and being evaluated in RI. Over two years ago, Pumba ruptured a disc resulting in back surgery. He has recovered well, but applicants will need to be aware of his medical history and be able to control jumping and vigorous play. He entertains himself quite well with a ball, Pumba has lots of energy. We are currently taking applications; he is good with other dogs, has not been cat tested, and respectively request no children. Since he has lots of energy we would like a fenced-in yard for him.
