My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pearl wants nothing more than to be by your side and part of the family. She likes to hang out, snuggle up, and loves to be pet. She is a sweet gal with a huge heart and a lot of love to give. When you're sitting around, she will often curl up in your lap. Her favorite is bedtime, she climbs on your chest and gently kneads you with her paws while she purrs and purrs. Then she turns around and does it on your tummy. After awhile, she lays down on your chest and will fall asleep there purring. It's like she gives a little massage to show her appreciation for your love. Shes small and light, so it's easy to fall asleep that way together. Later, she will move to burrow under the covers and sleep peacefully next to you. She is a loyal companion that needs someone she can count on forever to show her shes important. Her life has been very unfair, but she never gave up on people, easy to bond with, follows you around, comes when you call her. She knows what it means to struggle and is thankful for everything. She is also somewhat playful, likes her toys, has good energy, interested in things, loves catnip, watching out the window. She is 5 years old, friendly and confident, wont hide from strangers.
From a microchip we learned that her original owner got her as a kitten, then fell on hard times financially and surrendered her 2 years ago to a no-kill shelter. All we can figure is the shelter adopted her out, and she was later abandoned. Nobody updated her microchip info. So after having a home all her life, this precious girl was found wandering alone in the heat of summer. She was skin n bones, but in our care she has filled out beautifully. Her hair is softer than silk and barely sheds, if at all. She is a lovely calico with unique markings and gorgeous green eyes. She is healthy and fully vetted. Pearl loves people and would like a home where she can be the only pet. She is currently available for adoption or foster.
