My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Why hello there! I’m ROONEY, and I’m pleased to meet you! I’m a 5 month old puppy who currently weighs 22lbs.

I'm a very sweet snuggly boy who's greatest joy is to be loved. I'm used to living with other dogs and I love to play and follow. I definitely need a doggy sibling that I can look up to and be best friends with. I get very sad when there are no other dogs around. I currently have a foster cat sibling, but I do like to chase so it's best that there are none in my new home. Speaking of homes, I want a house with a fenced in yard for me to run around and play in. I'm also great with kids and I'm always up for a good bout of playtime.

Here's what my foster mom says about me:
"He's doing really well and training is coming along pretty good. He follows the other dogs around and is visibly sad and whiny and will wander around or bark if he can't find them. A house with another dog would be best for him because he doesn't like to be alone. He is crate trained, perfect at night. He loves chasing the other dogs around the yard and then coming in to snuggle for a nap. He can always be found wherever I am. If I'm cooking he's laying on the kitchen floor, if I'm in the living room he's either at my feet or laying behind my back. Super sweet and loveable and great with my kids."

Please apply for me soon, I'm growing up so fast! My forever family must be committed to puppy classes for me with positive reinforcement training only. A list of approved trainers can be found on Just Paws’ website.

As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! Or better yet, an application for me can be found at www.justpawsanimalrescue.com.

Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and cannot be broken. This is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

All new pet parents will receive 6 weeks complimentary Pet Secure Accident and Illness Protection for any dog adopted from Just Paws. Once activated, the trial will cover veterinary bills up to $500.00 for accidents or illnesses, excluding pre-existing conditions.
