Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mayson is a Beagle/Brittany Spaniel Mix. He is Red/White. Mayson is 1 Year Old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 22 lbs.
Mayson is such a playful pooch. He has that warm glow about him. He does tend to be a bit timid when you first approach him, but once you invite him over or slowly approach him his tail never stops wagging. It only takes him a few minutes to get warmed up to you then he's all yours. He loves to sit on your lap and have you cuddle with him. He also love love loves to have his belly rubbed and will even crawl over to you and flip his back feet out and wait for you to rub his belly. He likes to be near you, he'll wander off down the hallway but as soon as he hears footsteps he's off the couch and down the hall again to find out where your going. He follows you whenever he can and wants to sit by your feet wagging his tail. Mayson just genuinely loves your company and he is great with children because they are there to give him all the attention he is craving. Mayson is sometimes playful when the mood strikes, his eyes light up when you have a squeaky toy in your hand because he knows your going to give it to him.
Mayson would do well in any household. He's a go with the flow type of boy. He does take a bit of time to warm up but once he trusts you he's all over you. He does give kisses but isn't over affectionate. He does enjoy sitting in the back seat of the car looking out the window. Mayson does great with kids because they are not afraid to show their love and affection, and he loves to give them kisses and get them to rub his belly. He does well on the leash but just needs a little bit of encouragement. Mayson would love the company of another dog because he likes to sleep next to them on the couch especially his buddy Malcolm here at the rescue. Mayson is looking for a family that will love and adore him, and especially give him belly rubs!
Mayson is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
