My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:








Sable is a beautiful brown, 5-year-old purebred, female Newfoundland. She has distinctive hairs around her eyes which make her look just a little sassy. Sable has a very sweet temperament and has done well with other dogs, cats, and a large number of people at her foster home for a recent birthday party. While she may be a little timid in new surroundings, with patience and love, she will soon adapt and flourish. Shortly after her arrival in rescue, she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. Other than during this UTI, she has shown herself to be housebroken. The UTI has been treated and she has been given a clean bill of health. She weighs 120 lbs., she is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and she is on heart-worm preventative. Sable is being fostered in one of our wonderful foster homes near Des Moines, IA.

Our adoption fee is $300.00. A fenced yard with a minimum height of 4-feet is required for adoption.
If you plan on submitting an application and you are out of our region, once your application is approved we require that you come to our area to meet the dog and foster family. If that goes well you will be able to take your Newfie home with you.
