Do you have room in your heart and home for a large serene couch potato? Meet Brutus, who came to the Coronado Animal Care Facility as a stray when he was found wandering in the 100 block of Alameda Avenue (outside NASNI). He is now ready for his forever home. Brutus is a five-year-old male big black dog who weighs 85 pounds.

This sweet boy arrived at the shelter lethargic with a hematoma on his right ear. Our vet repaired Brutus’ ear and he is now healing nicely. Good natured, Brutus likes being with his human pals. He is very calm. Brutus is house trained and great in the car. One of our dog walkers described Brutus as a "dreamboat" on his leash. He is compatible with cats and other dogs. Brutus enjoys napping outside, so a home that has a yard would suit him best. Due to his large size, we recommend a family with older children or just adults. Come meet Brutus today, this sweetheart deserves a loving forever home!

The Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) is open 9:00-11:30am and 12:30–4:00pm daily, except major holidays. It is located at 1395 First Street, at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in an adoption, first please come meet the dog at the Coronado ACF. Then submit a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado dog adoption counselor.
