Meet DAYTON!!

Dayton, born March 18, 2018, is a currently 4 pound, neutered male, mix breed puppy. He has mom's short and stubby legs, who we think may be a dachshund/min pin mix. Dad is unknown.

Dayton's mom came into the shelter pregnant, and delivered in her foster home. She had 8 healthy babies, 6 boys and 2 girls.

Dayton is the smallest boy of the litter but has a big and adorable personality. He is a beautiful chocolatey brown color. He and his littermates love toys, and playing together. He would do best with a playmate of similar size. He is not yet house broken so will need some work.

Dayton has had 3 rounds of puppy shots, is current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He comes with a health certificate to travel.

Dayton's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard he can play in supervised (no electric or wireless please), someone who is home, or works from home with the time, energy, and patience a puppy needs and requires for adjustment and training, and because of sharp puppy teeth and nails, no children under 8 please.

Dayton is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

Dayton is available through the City of Lytle TX Animal Care and Control. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast.
