Meet ANDY!!
Andy is an approximately 3 year old, 18 pound, neutered male, poodle mix.
Andy was originally on the euthanasia list in a Texas/Mexico border town high kill shelter. He had heartworms and his time was up. He was pulled at the last minute and we agreed to bring him into our program. He has since been treated for the heartworms.
Andy is an all around great dog. He doesn't cause any ruckus in his foster home and is a delight to have around. He knows when to chill and would love to be your couch tater buddy. He would do well in most living arrangements. Andy gets along with all the dogs in his foster home. He seems okay with cats, but may give chase. He does very well crated, and does his business outside when kept on a consistent schedule. He will require moderate brushing and grooming.
Andy is current on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He has been treated for heartworms. He comes with a health certificate to travel.
Andy's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard he can play in (no electric or wireless please), and no children under 8 please.
Andy is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.
Andy is available through Lytle Animal Allies, a 501c3. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast. Option to fly available at reasonable airline rates and cost of crate.
