My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Bourke. I am a 6 month old, female Boxer/Lab mix puppy looking for a fun, forever home.

I had a rough start in life and was found with my 7 siblings in a cardboard box next to a dumpster in an alley. We were malnourished and dehydrated and had been left to fend for ourselves before all our baby teeth had even come in...we were in bad shape. Luckily, a good Samaritan found us and brought us to the animal shelter who nursed us all back to health. Now it's time for us to find new families who will love us and treat us like the best friends we want to be.

I'm only 25 lbs. right now, but still growing and I might get to be around 40 lbs. when I'm fully grown. (It's a little hard to tell because I was so small when I was found and I grew so fast once I started getting food.) I was the runt of the litter but that never stopped me. I may still be the smallest but I play as hard as my siblings. I also love attention when I am done playing. I'd do great in a home that is ready for an energetic puppy. Especially if that home already has a doggie playmate who can show me the ropes and match my energy level. My ideal family is prepared to take the time to train me; I love affection, treats and toys so I'll be a fast learner for anyone who can spend the time to help me become the best me possible!

I am up to date with my shots (ouch!) and I've been spayed so the only thing keeping me from being the happiest puppy on the planet is a family. If you think I'm the one for you, please contact Lytle Animal Care and Control at 830-709-3832.
