MEET MISS ZOEY. She is a teeny-tiny adorable 12 year old yorkie who only weighs 3.5 lbs. Miss Zoey is being fostered in Bradenton, FL.
UPDATED BIO 07/29/2018: Miss Zoey is a precious little senior princess who arrived in her foster home several days ago. Her former owners sadly had to surrender her due to a change in their life situation.
Foster mom says that Miss Zoey appears to be full of herself but is so very sweet and loves to sit on her person's lap. Oh, and she also loves to eat, so having an appetite is no problem for Miss Zoey. She is very interested in all the new toys she is seeing and loves to play with them. Miss Zoey is small but mighty and makes herself known. She likes to be the one furbaby in the home who gets most of the attention.
Foster mom thinks Miss Zoey has never met a stranger she didn’t like, even though at first she will greet new people with a little bark just so they know she is “in the house”, then her tail starts wagging – she is a very hospitable greeter.
Miss Zoey was an only dog in her previous home, where she had lived since she was a puppy. She has let her foster mom and dad know that being an only dog is what she prefers; she may do well with another dog close to her age and size, as long as they are gentle and calm. Her foster parents have a kitty cat and Miss Zoey seems inquisitive and maybe somewhat playful with the kitty.
Her perfect home would be with either a retired mom/dad or in a home where there is at least one stay-at-home person, as that is what she was accustomed to in her previous home.
