My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peeps is a young parakeet, we estimate her to be just a year old, but not exactly sure. She is a very beautiful bird with turquoise markings on her belly and back. She was surrendered to a shelter with 2 other parakeets due to allergies. It did not appear she had been worked with on taming, but these photos were taken shortly after she arrived and within minutes of trimming her wings. She never tried to nip or bite. She of course will need some training to be taught to step up and to stay on your finger or shoulder. Parakeets are easy to tame and we believe this little one will make a good pet, even a good first parakeet as long as you are consistent and have patience as you work with her. Peeps is one of the Parakeets we believe would be happiest living in a cage by herself and interacting with her human. She shows no interest in any of the other birds in her foster home, not males or females. Her adoption fee is $14.00 (does not come with a cage).
