My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for serious and true love – I am a caring and loving girl who knows how to be the purrfect feline companion!

Roxy and her feline companion Chloe were relinquished to the Coronado Animal Care Facility the day before the 4th of July Holiday by their owner who was moving and not taking these precious girls with him.

The girls were a bit confused and scared at first having lost their human and their home and being thrust into a foreign environment with unfamiliar smells, sounds and people. But with the TLC of staff and volunteers they soon realized that they were with people who cared about them.

Roxy will act shy at first, but when you turn your attention to her, she meows hello and comes out of her cubby to allorub you and solicit pets. She is a gentle soul with a loving nature and she really wants the companionship of a person.

The change in her life has been hard for her, yet she shows us her warm and attentive side whenever we visit with her.

Are you looking for serious and true love? If you are, come meet Roxy – she will be the purrfect feline companion!

You can meet Roxy at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 11:30 am and 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Roxy you must first come in and meet him. If it seems like a good match, the next step is to complete a cat adoption application. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or cat adoption applications may be completed online. A PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor will contact you within 24-48 hours to discuss your application.

You can read about the adoption process on the Adoption Information page.

If you have any questions not answered on our website, please call Bob at 619-840-9727.
