My story

Meet McKINLEY!!

McKinley is a 2-3 year old, approx 9 pound, spayed female. Her breed mix looks to be possibly Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix or another terrier type.

McKinley and her 4 six week old puppies were found in the road as strays. All were covered in fleas, and had hair loss from flea allergies. Although once owned, the owner did not come to rhe shelter to get them. No worries! We are on the job to find their forevers! Her 4 babies will be available soon.

McKinley has a pleasant personality that would likely fit into most living arrangements. She is very sweet, isn't excessively vocal, but since she was an outside dog previously, will need work with potty training. She gets along with other dogs and has shown only mild interest in cats.

McKinley is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. She will come with a health certificate if transported.

McKinley's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard she can enjoy supervised (no electric or wireless please), and no children under 8 please.

McKinley is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

McKinley is available through Lytle Animal Allies, a 501c3 non-profit. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast.
