My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

02/21/09 - Thank you to doggie angel, Nancy, for sponsoring Bradshaw!

1/19/09: Bradshaw has had his ups and downs. Right now, he is needing some doggy prayers. For some reason, Bradshaw keeps getting fluid around his lungs. He went to the doctor about a week or so ago and they extracted 4 cups of fluid. He is on several medications and is supposed to go back to go back in a few weeks. He needs sponsor money asap in case he needs to see a specialist (and to help pay for his very large vet bill from the last 2 doctor visits). Bradshaw is a fantastic dog who deserves a chance. This boy gets along with everyone (incuding cats and rabbits!). Please consider donating in his name so that he can get the help he deserves. Thank you Laura and John for taking such good care of him.

7/7/08: THANK YOU RUTH for being Bradshaw's doggie angel. Bradshaw now has some sponsorship finds to help with his treatment...This boy is heading in the right direction. Now all he needs is a home.

7/03/08: GREAT NEWS! It turns out that I'm actually heartworm negative (WHEW!!!) and they gave me a pill right away to hopefully stay that way- cross your fingers and paws!. The other great news is that 2 terrific people, Laura and John, read my story and decided to let me stay with them for a little bit so I can get the medical attention I need. It was just in time too, because I developed a secondary skin infection that requires antibiotics and it's so hard for the shelter to keep up with all of that. Just you wait...I will be absolutely gorgeous in no time and I'll make a terrific pet for someone!

6/27/08: HELP ME!!! I am the sweetest, most playful furrbaby in the whole world. I have a wonderful personality. I love everyone...really. I know I ended up here because of the way I look. What people don't know is all I need is a little bit of medicine (I have Demodex which is not-contagious). I also need some TLC of course (you wouldn't even have to pay for it or any of my food). The other bad news is that I am heartworm positive (also treatable). Just look closely at my face- I promise you that I will be gorgeous when my hair grows back in. Please don't overlook me...all I need is a doggy angel or 2. Can I just please come to your house for a little while so I'll be safe? I'm not safe here at the shelter...let's face it, no one is wanting a hairless dog right now. Please give me a chance...call Joan at 870-739-1145 or Allison at 901-240-9848. Sponsor money would be very helpful too 'cuz it makes me more "marketable" to rescue groups they say!
