My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Genesis, is a very pretty girl. Beautiful markings, great demeanor and eyes that can pierce your soul. Why anyone would breed her then dump her into a high kill shelter, is beyond reason. In the foster home she's currently in, they joke that she's a GSD/Coydog due to her eyes, size and howl. We cannot confirm, nor deny that, but it's logical. We can confirm she's pretty stable, sometimes annoyingly affectionate and is relatively calm for being aged around 2 years old.

Genesis has come to us very malnourished, with heartworm, but still longing for companionship. She's currently getting a high calorie diet to ensure she gets the weight she desperately needs. She's also being treated for her heartworm. At this time, she has shown no aggression to children, adults or other animals, however, we haven't had her long enough to provide a more thorough assessment.

Genesis would fit nicely into a home with active owners, a nice yard to play in, daily walks, etc. She does have the typical GSD traits such as bark when company comes, she's curious and playful, yet she's intelligent. If you are looking for a dog that you could take camping with you eventually, go biking, jogging, etc. then Genesis would be a great fit to your home.

Genesis, states alright with cats and dogs, but that has been in regards to the foster home she is in. Genesis, will chase cats, however, and does require constant correction. She has not harmed a cat, but we like to be forthright. She's cautious around other dogs, however, had no problem being transported with Miss Grace and has adjusted to all but 1 of the dogs in the foster home. Therefore, please be mindful that while our current temperament evaluation is based on our experiences, your experiences may be different.
