Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oh Desi... this girl is awesome. Desi was the “neighborhood stray” that everyone fed, but that no one claimed. When we took her into her program, she was covered from head to toe in fleas and ticks... it was terrible!! But after several good baths and some flea/tick meds, this girl turned into a happy girl who finally knew what it was like to get fed regularly and sleep in a soft bed at night without itching all the time. Desi has done wonderfully in her foster home. She does fine with other calm dogs who respect her personal space. She will use puppy pads and potty outside. Desi sleeps with her foster mom and several other dogs every night (she expects to sleep with you... so no need to apply if you don’t let dogs in your bed!). Desi rarely barks, does well on a leash, and rides well in a car. She gets SUPER excited when you put a leash on her! She would definitely be a good travel buddy or walking buddy. Desi doesn’t chew on things she isn’t supposed to, so it’s safe to leave her out in the house while your gone. She is never crated in her foster home (cause there is no need.).
If you are interested in adding Desi to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. She is being fostered in West Tennessee. Transportation is available to Middle Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
