Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Corwin is a super smart, extensively trained, independent and happy dog who would benefit from a disciplined and experienced adopter in a home with no children. In the almost 4 years he's been in our home, we've loved his silly playfulness, smart yet stubborn demeanor and low-energy vibe, but unfortunately his guarding behavior doesn't align with our new addition - a baby boy.
I can't say enough how much we love Corwin - he is definitely a handful and not an "easy dog," but the rewards are bountiful, especially when giving him early morning cuddles and belly rubs. We didn't come at this decision lightly, and it breaks our hearts, but we know it's right.
Corwin is well-trained, but needs a disciplined adopter to enforce the rather strict environment in which he thrives. He does display guarding behaviors (that once led to a bite), but we control this to a large extent with anxiety medication + anti-itch medication (relatively low cost/month) and behavioral modifications.
