My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Casper, AKA “Piggy”,

Our 5yr old Australian Shepard/Lab/Jack Russel mix, who currently weighs 40lbs. He got his nickname from when he was a puppy, his coat was mostly white and he had a cute little pink nose. He would make little grunting sounds when picked up. He still respond to that nickname to this day.

This sweet boy loves cuddling with his humans and tends to rest his head in their lap and act like a big cat. He is also quite active and enjoys being outside, playing chase with other dog(s) and just acting silly. He is house-trained & knows the commands “sit”, “down”, “high five” and sometimes “stay”. He is also pretty good about being recalled, though he can jump over 5-6 foot fences so will need to be closely monitored initially or perhaps invest in a GPS tracking collar for his safety.

Casper came to us as an owner surrendered. He was very much loved and well cared for but his family realized they could not give him the amount of attention he deserves and that it wasn’t fair to keep him.

He is described by his previous family as being very sweet, gentle and loyal. Casper can be a bit fearful around new people/visitors as well as noisy environments and will do best in a home that is calm and does not have children/young visitors (as he gets nervous around little humans who he doesn’t know running around) nor cats (he tends to chase them, as well as outside little critters). Also because of his apprehension around new people coming around the house, if your house is the social gathering spot, he may not be the dog for you.

Casper is neutered, house-trained, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $400.
