My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM before emailing. ADOPTION and FOSTER forms can be printed from our website: wrenyorkierescue.org or completed online at Adoptapet. Soon after we receive your completed paperwork, we will chat and help you determine which dog[s] you and your family members want to interview at your home or other convenient location. We will schedule a convenient visit time [about an hour or so] so the potential new family member[s] including other dogs in the household, and you can relax and get to know each other. If all goes well, you can expect to take the selected dog home with you after signing your Adoption Agreement and paying the fee; or for Fosters, after signing the Foster Agreement. If at any time within 30 days you determine that your routine and expectations DO NOT match the dog's needs and requirements, Rescue will take the dog back and refund $475 of the $500 Adoption Fee. Rescue WILL ALWAYS at any time take back an adopted pet who isn't fitting in well, but no refund can be issued after 30 days.

SEPT 2018: This tiny wee girl is such a smuggler during TV time or after lights-out in her guardian's bed--she likes to burrow under the covers to get as close as possible. Loves belly rubs at night. We think she must have been severely abused or traumatized early on, as during the day when people of in an upright position, Peanut will gently accept food from human fingers, but cannot be approached, petted or picked up, nor will she come near, unless she sees food in a hand. At the slightest hint that she might be handled, the little weenut darts away to safety faster than you can blink! If the top of your chair is nice & wide, Peanut will happily perch there to be petted--as long as their is no eye contact & only a single hand is used--two hands mean possible capture--scary! She loves to play with other small dogs her size and requires a VERY secure outdoor fenceline and NO CHILDREN who might carelessly leave a gate open or unlatched.
