Here's what the humans have to say about me:
(Read in your best boxing ring announcer voice) Ladies & Gentlemen! New to the OMD pack and weighing in at a svelte 15 lbs., he originally hails from a high kill shelter but has never looked back and is rated by all that meet him as the best, pound for pound, heart-stealer! With endless wins, all coming by way of knockout from his amazing head tilts, snorts and snuffles, he is now the reigning velcro dog champion, belly rub champion and no concept of personal space champion....Maaaaaaaaaarvin! (Resume regular reading voice). Though he is technically a senior at almost 9 years old, our newest OMD Pug is as curious and spry as can be, a regular on the daycare scene, and has an incredibly packed playdate schedule. Marvin absolutely loves other dogs, as evidenced by his excited tap dance whenever he meets a new friend but he is also a wily guy and will often try to sneak in a quick ninja hump move so new pups need to be patient with his antics. If Marvin had it his way, every person (yes, kiddos included) would be his BFFs and every dog would be his playmate. True to his breed, our social butterfly is extremely food motivated and breakfast, dinner and fresh fruit/veggie snacks (blueberries, watermelon and pumpkin are favorites) are the highlights of his day, second to spending time with his people. Being held, kissed, cuddled, snuggled are what make him happiest and he will even do a little exasperated huff and foot stomp when he wants your attention. Like many male Pugs, Marv does mark but not to worry, he looks super stylish in his belly bands and wears them without a problem. Plus, with a daily routine in place, we think his marking may improve. Marvelous Marvin’s eyesight is not what it used to be and he takes daily drops to slow the development of his cataracts. He also deals with some allergies and has a bit of a wonky back leg, likely the result of an injury in his previous life, so his new family should be dedicated to keeping him on joint supplements and keeping him slim and trim! Trust us, nothing slows him down! Marv is crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and knows his basic commands (don’t let the selective Pug hearing fool you). He is also ready to be the reigning champion of your heart and home. All you have to do is apply at omdrescue.org
