My story

Meet TRUMAN!!

Truman is an approximately 4 month old, currently 4 pound, neutered male terrier mix breed. Mom looks like a Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix or another terrier type.

Truman, his mom, and 3 littermates were found in the road as strays. All were covered in fleas, and had hair loss from flea allergies. Although once owned, the owner did not come to the shelter to get them. No worries! Mom is adopted and we are on the job to find forever homes for her babies!

Truman is the confident one in the litter. He is usually first in line to get attention. He loves wrestling with his siblings, and would enjoy a playmate in his new home. We believe he will stay under 10 pounds.

Truman is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He will come with a health certificate if transported.

Truman's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard he can enjoy supervised (no electric or wireless please), another canine playmate of similar size, and for his safety, and because of puppy sharp nails and teeth, no children under 6 please.

Truman is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

Truman is available through the City of Lytle TX Animal Care and Control. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast.
