My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mini Aussie

Koda! Our little foxy bear!  Everyone adores his face like a fox and his little butt like a bear. His chocolate color is beautiful. We had to shave him due to the horrible mats when he came into rescue but his fur is already growing back beautifully!
Koda is a male Mini Aussie, 5-6 years old, that weighs 25lbs and is a Red/Brown Bi. He is a  medium to low energy level.
Koda  has a goofy, happy and Velcro personality. He likes other dogs but needs a proper introduction, like most pups. He is people friendly and once he knows you he is very loving and happy. He does want to be introduced to most strangers, he seems to prefer women.
He loves his tennis balls and playing fetch.    If no one will play with him he will toss the ball and go after it, he is so good at self-entertaining!  He runs after his ball and sometimes forgets to put on the brakes and crashes into the wall.  Silly Koda!
Koda  gets fed in his crate as everyone eats something different. He dashes into it as feeding time. He runs into it at bedtime but is free in his room.
He barks loudly at the door so you're guaranteed no one will sneak up on you! But Koda can be an escape artist so you have to watch the little guy!
Koda is not only an alert to strangers at the front door but he is an alert to danger! His foster was cooking some food for the humming birds and wandered off.  Koda came and he kept pushing his Foster Mom until she followed him and saw it was burning. Way to go Koda!
Koda loves his person and he may seem a bit possession (super Velcro).   His person  can take bones and tennis balls out of his mouth with no problems AND others have been able to take things out of his mouth. So he is not aggressive. He’s entertaining, cute, soft and cuddly. He would so much want his own family to play with and cuddle.

He is also extremely smart.    He has learned sit, down, and belly in just minutes. He’s house broke, walks well on a leash, and does fetch and drop and he goes through tunnels. We are working on the difference between stay, wait, and whoa. He is learning his right from left and to jump and do some rally.  He also rides well in a car!
He doesn’t get along with the cat he is being fostered with.
He’s good with kids but Koda would do best with older respectable children.
Koda is neutered, up to date on vaccinations of Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. He has been Heart worm tested (negative), Fecal tested (negative) and had a dental cleaning!
Koda is also Micro-Chipped and takes monthly preventatives each month for heart-worm prevention and flea/tick prevention.

This Foxy Bear is being fostered in the St.Louis, Missouri area.
